Welcoming 2012!

This post was delayed for a month because I was hoping that the photos from our camera would be recovered but they died together with my perfectly captured happy memories :’( Fortunately, Tito Lito took a lot of pictures too :) Here are a few (well, it’s quite a lot, actually, haha!) photos from that night. New Year is my favorite event! Everything is loud and alive and happy and exciting! :)

First, we had to secure the puppies. They can get traumatized or even die from extremely loud blasts.

We played music in the room on loop to drown out the booming fireworks. I won’t let anything bad happen to my babies. Not in a million years.

Around 11 PM, we all gathered in our family room and prayed the rosary. We do this every New Year’s eve. Family tradition.  All of our parents had their own little speech which was really sweet. They always stress out the importance of family. Everyone comes and go, but family will never leave, even if you like it or not :)) I am blessed to have a really big family that remained and will always be close even if we’re oceans apart.

10 minutes before the clock struck 12MN, we headed outside. The street was so crowded and all the fireworks were awesome -especially the really big umbrella type fireworks. Major boo-boo when our memory card got corrupted! My brother risked his life in capturing those magical firework shots! I really should get over that! Haha!

Every New Year’s eve, the house gets seriously crowded. The extended family doesn’t only compose of the ones whom we share the same blood line with, but also the families of our Ates and Kuyas who help around the house and in our business as well. Everyone would often to refer to our Ates as Mommy’s Angels. They are really more than househelpers or kasambahay. They are part of our family :)

Harry Potter moment in here! When Dumbledore had gone and everyone raised their wands. Haha! Just me being silly me! :))

After all the fireworks display, everyone went back to our house to enjoy the scrumptious Media Noche feast…

… and drink,

… and par-tey!

and play super fun games (complete with cash prizes! :))

My godson, Johannes! What a lovely little cute addition to the family!

Every New Year celebration gets better than the last! :)
