Family Dinner at Kena’an

Last weekend, I went back home in Laguna. As much as my dad loves to cook for us while we’re staying there, he wanted us to try out this newly opened restaurant in town, Kena’an’s Cafe and Restaurant. Here’s what we ordered:

Baked Mussels. I was not expecting such a pretty plate! The mango cubes were a sweet surprise and complemented the mussels well. Though, I really wish they sliced the garlic a bit finer.

Yum!!!

“Sizzling” Squid. This was not the dish that came to my mind when we ordered Sizzling Squid. This was rather Sweet and Sour Squid version.

Baked Macaroni. Large serving for a solo order.

Beef with Broccoli. Super tasty dish! We all loved this! The meat was tender and the sauce had the perfect consistency.

Mixed Seafood Rice. I love fried rice. I was a bit disappointed when they served this to us, almost chilled. :(

Crispy Fried Chicken. Not their best dish. Too dry :(

Rib-Eye Steak. Again, this could’ve been such a delight if only they served this dish heated.

All in all, our dining experience was good. Kena’an has this sosi ambiance- that’s not really offered in a lot of places in town. Plus, they offer a wide selection of food in their menu and everything is affordable! I’m sure we will definitely come back! :)
